Hello world!

Only the other day some colleagues and I were talking, it seemed support staff were far more likely to iron than teaching staff, and I have to confess my primary way of clothing selection is whether I’ll get away without ironing them. It seems that for many of us the marking pile has displaced the ironing pile. After all we all only have so many hours in our day.

Differentiation often seems like one of those things that alongside marking, planning, risk assessments and whatever other essential paperwork school are currently demanding from you, is just one step too far. I mean, even teachers need to sleep sometimes, right? It needn’t be that way though, differentiating can make your life easier instead of harder.

This blog aims to give you easy, fun ways of differentiating for your classes. Your students will be more engaged, you’ll impress during lesson observations, fulfil your obligations under the new Code of Practice and above all you won’t create yourself more work.
